Interested in a security system at home DIY w / Internet and the ability of cells, do not want mo. supervision and counseling?

a recent incident has brought to my attention on the need for a security system – No need for a professional or monthly monitoring must be alert only if a intruder downstairs. Plan to add an external monitoring system as well. Need to cover 10 windows and 2 doors and I would like Internet and cell capacity. Need a good camera at a reasonable price – no need to be more complicated or advanced technologies – reliability and functionality are the priorities. Also, if you knows a good bit of light outside of 2-4 camera system / capabilities of a PC I need this. All opinions and recommendations are welcome! Thank you!
